Cool tones set a cool tone.

Listening to clients is key and this tween wanted to update her bedroom with a more grown-up, modern and relaxed feel, while keeping the existing furniture pieces. We mastered this by replacing stuffed animals with pillows, posters with framed buffalo prints, ruffled white curtains with darker linens, and we used cool muted colors to set the mood. We added a little whimsy with a butterfly garland, an alligator figurine, flowers, sequined & furry pillows as well as a little Edison bulb lamp on the nightstand. Seating was added for friends using a long bench at the foot of the bed and a futon in an alcove of the room, which doubles as a bed for overnight guests. Let the sleepovers begin!
